Post Date: 23.09.2024

GERMAN CURSES (SAMPLE SCULPTURE INSTITUTIONS) In the previous chapters, we gave various information about the sentences in the phrase "this is a door", "this is a table". In this German lesson, we will explain how to make sentences such as "the table is blue", "Ahmet is a student", "the car is new".

Examples;

Das ist ein Haus (this is a house)

Das Haus ist grün (house turns green)

Das Haus ist weiss (the house is white)

Das Haus ist neu (home is new)

Das Haus ist alt (house is old)

As you can see here, "das" which means this is not used, on the contrary, the object pointed to by the word "das" is used as the subject. But the article of this subject, namely the name, can be "das" and should not be confused with other "das".

EXAMPLES OF GERMAN SIMPLE SENTENCES

Das ist ein Auto (this is a car)

Das Auto ist neu (the car is new)

Das Auto ist grün (the car is green)

Das Auto ist gelb (car is yellow)

Die Blume ist rot (the flower is red)

Die Blume ist weiss (the flower is white)

Die Blume ist schon (the flower is beautiful)

Der Stuhl ist bottom (the chair is old)

Der Tisch is gross (the table is big)

Der Mann ist jung (the man is young)

Der Student ist foul (the student is lazy)

We will be able to use these examples very conveniently with multiple sentences.

Examples;

The Chair ist grun (chair is green)

The Chairs sind grun (chairs is green)

The Flower ist schon (flower It is beautiful)

The Flowers sind schon (flowers It is beautiful)

The Flowers sind rot (flowers is red)

The Flowers ist gelb (flowers is yellow)

Now let's make negative sentences;

In the past, “das ist ein StuhlA sentence like ""das ist kein stuhl"We were doing it negatively.
But "Die Blumen sind rotIn a sentence like ”, articles such as ein / eine / kein / keine do not exist and cannot be used. So there is another way of doing this, read the explanation and examples below carefully.

The phrase Die frau ist jung means Woman is young. The negative of the sentence is made with the following phrase.

Die Frau ist jung (female is young)

Die Frau ist nicht jung (female is not young)

Die Blume ist rot (flower is red)

Die Blume ist nicht rot (the flower is not red)

Der Stuhl ist lang (chair stands)

der Stuhl ist nicht lang (chair not long)

Die Blumen sind schön (flowers are beautiful)

Die Blumen sind nicht schön (flowers are not beautiful)

Die Studenten sind foul (students are tempted)

Die Studenten sind nicht foul (students are not lazy)

As you can see, we put a "nicht" word in front of the adjective to make the sentences negative, without the difference between singular and plural sentences. The word Nicht adds to the sentence the meaning of not doing something, negativity and not.

der Stuhl ist neu (chair is new)
der Stuhl ist nicht neu (the chair is not new)

die stühle sind neu (chairs new)
die Stühle sind nicht neu (chairs are not new)
