German Language Levels

How long does it take to learn German?

Those who want to learn German complete 0 levels starting from A2 to C7. These levels are determined in accordance with European Union standards. In order to determine your level correctly and to start the lesson in the right class, a placement test is held at the beginning. Beginners are taken directly to the A0 level. We will try to indicate all level groups and approximate training durations below, as it varies in how long it can be completed according to the levels.

A0 Beginner Level: This level is the most basic entry level in which preparation for learning the German language in general, the alphabet, spelling rules, and some specific patterns are emphasized. In most courses, training starts directly at A1 level, but there are some things you need to know to get to A1.

A1 Beginner Level: This level standard course group is completed in approximately 20 weeks with 8 hours of training per week. In the intensivkurs group, 30 lessons per week are completed in about 60 weeks.

A2 Elementary German Level: In this level group, the standard course group is completed at the end of approximately 20 weeks with 8 hours of training per week, and the Intensiv course group is completed in approximately 30 weeks with 6 lessons per week.

B1 Intermediate German Level: In this level group, the process works in the same way as in A1 and A2 levels.

B2 Upper-Intermediate German Level: In this level group, the standard course group is completed at the end of approximately 20 weeks with 10 hours of training per week, and the Intensiv course group is completed in approximately 30 weeks with 6 classes per week.

C1 Advanced German Level: While the standard course group completion time may vary individually for the students in this group, the Intensiv course group trainings are completed in a period of 6 weeks.

C2 German Proficiency Level: It is the last group of German language levels. The duration of the trainings in this group varies according to the individual performance of the individuals.
