Concept of Onsen

Onsen Rules
Onseners have their own rules. And these rules reveal the onsen as a different spa product. To mention the rules, first of all, customers have to take off their shoes at the entrance. Then, male customers go to the blue-screened dressing rooms and the female customers to the red-screened dressing rooms. Only the towels remain on the customers. Customers must be washed and thoroughly cleaned before entering the onsene. Because soap, shampoo or any cleaning tools cannot be used in the onsen. Onsen is only naked by using towels. Some onsen can be entered separately while others can be mixed. It is also available on onsen which only accepts Japanese visitors. Another noteworthy rule is that there should be no tattoo anywhere on the customer's body when entering the onsene, even if there is some form of tattooing. Otherwise, it is not allowed to enter the onsene. In addition, shouts and summons are not permitted to maintain peace and tranquility in the onsin.
